High Speed Internet Information

Speeds up to 5Meg

  • • Download speeds will be up to 1.5 Meg. Price per month is $49.00, which includes $25.00 toward unmetered Internet Access. The SmartPlan reduces the price to $47.95, bundled with several calling features.

    • A premium speed of 3 Meg is available. Price per month is $74.00. SmartPlan price is $72.95.

    • You are able to be connected to the Internet and have dial tone on the same phone line. No more busies. No need for a second line. (Unless your teenagers are using it as their line. Or it’s your fax line, too.)

    • Firewall security. You are always connected. When your computer is turned on you are vulnerable to others snooping in through the circuit. S&A highly recommends a hardware router which will be more effective than software. The customer is responsible for firewall security. S&A may have these routers in stock, please ask. They also work to network more than one computer in the household.

    • Ethernet card. You will need an Ethernet network card installed in your computer to plug the modem in to. The customer is responsible for installation of this card. The Ethernet card is part of the customer’s computer and not covered by technical support. If you are in need of this card, S&A may have these in stock, as well.

    • Filter/splitter. S&A will provide a filter/splitter on the outside of your home or individual filter/splitters on each telephone. This keeps data from bleeding over to the voice side of the line.

    • Modem. S&A is using a modem that is pre-programmed to plug-and-play. This modem will be sold to the customer at cost, $100.00 outright. We will not support a modem not purchased from S&A.

    • Our service only supports one computer. Any additional equipment connected at the customer’s location is not covered by technical support and must be disconnected for troubleshooting.

    • Connection fee. There is a $250.00 connection fee that may be waived at time of installation if a year of High Speed Internet is expected to be purchased. If service is disconnected prior to the year’s end, the $250.00 will be charged to your account. This also applies to customers whose telephone service is disconnected for non-payment.
